A Letter from Greg & Romina
Dear Friends,
The vision for Villa Pintadera continues to grow, and we are beginning to understand that God is calling us to build something much greater than a nursing home.
Villa Pintadera will provide compassionate residential care for 30 elderly residents, but our mission is also becoming deeply rooted in social inclusion—creating a community where the elderly and adults with disabilities are valued, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to participate and contribute.
One of the greatest gifts in this journey has been our collaboration with the Mani Orto group. Adults with disabilities are already working with us on the Villa Pintadera property, helping care for the grounds and becoming part of the daily life of our growing community.
Their presence has changed us.
We have seen firsthand how meaningful work can strengthen confidence, independence, relationships, and a sense of belonging. Rather than focusing on limitations, we want Villa Pintadera to recognize the abilities, gifts, and potential within every person.
As the project develops, adults with disabilities will have opportunities to participate in the gardens and grounds, as well as our restaurant and café. These environments will create opportunities to learn practical skills, interact with residents and visitors, develop relationships, and experience the dignity of contributing to something meaningful.
At the same time, our elderly residents will become part of an active, intergenerational community rather than simply recipients of care.
This is the social heart of Villa Pintadera: people caring for people.
We envision a place where an elderly resident can share wisdom and companionship with a younger adult with disabilities; where someone who has often been defined by what they cannot do discovers what they can do; and where work, meals, gardens, conversation, and faith naturally bring people together.
Our five-acre property gives us the space to create this community through gardens, farm-to-table food, our restaurant and café, outdoor activities, and sustainable projects that encourage participation and connection.
The needs in Sardinia extend far beyond nursing-home beds. There is a need for belonging, social connection, meaningful work, dignity, and purpose—especially among people who can too easily become isolated or overlooked.
We believe Villa Pintadera can help answer that need.
Your support is therefore helping us build much more than a residence for 30 elderly people. You are helping us create a model of community where elderly adults and adults with disabilities are not pushed to the margins, but welcomed into the center.
